nature. TAMUG student organization Aggie S.O.U.L. (Sisterhood of University Leaders) conducted a mock car-crash to help raise awareness about drinking and driving. The annual event is always hosted just before students leave for Spring Break. The Scenario: Chris and his friend Alice were excited about finishing up their exams. To celebrate, they decided to spend their free evening hitting up a trio of bars in the Strand area of Galveston. After several hours of drinking, Chris decided to drive himself and Alice back to campus. Once back on-campus, he began doing donuts in the residence hall parking lot. Kyle was nearby when he heard the squealing tires and approached the vehicle motioning frantically for Chris to stop. A light pole surrounded by a large concrete block was just a few feet away from where Chris was turning the vehicle in circles. Kyle was too late. Seconds later the vehicle Chris was driving slammed into the concrete pole support. Alice was ejected out the rear window of the vehicle where she died instantly. Kyle was hit by the car, thrown to the ground, rendered unconscious by the impact and left with numerous injuries. Chris was thrown into the passenger seat of the vehicle. Galveston Emergency Medical Service and TAMUG University Police Department arrived, with a hearse not far behind. Chris' injuries were treated on the scene. He was arrested by TAMUG UPD and charged with driving while intoxicated. Alice was pronounced dead on scene and transported to the morgue. Kyle was transported by Galveston EMS to the hospital.
