James M. McCloy

 

Research Interests

  • Initial research endeavors dealt with beach processes and nearshore dynamics along barrier islands.  Subsequently, geomorphic reconnaissance and a study of seasonal environmental changes in an Arctic delta were pursued.  Present research is concerned with the epidemiology and etiology of water‑related fatalities and accidents; and the risk management of public open‑water recreational beaches.
